Online databases

Through the EINetwork, Northland provides access to magazines, scholarly journals, encyclopedias and other research resources online. Most can be accessed from your home (using your library card number), as well as from the library. A sampling of the databases:
  • AccessPA POWER Library
    Databases from the Pennsylvania Online World of Electronic Resources.
  • OmniFile Mega
    Multi-disciplinary full-text database covering Art, Education, Social Sciences, the Hunamities, Business, Science, Current Events, and more.
  • Gale Group
    Full-text articles and indexes from magazines and academic journals.
  • Northland Library Tutor
    This subscription-based, online tutoring service allows students of all ages, from kindergarten through adult, to connect directly and immediately with an expert for one-on-one help in math, science, English and social studies. Adults can use the service for writing help and resume writing as well! Available daily from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
